The Doris Chen Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to eligible undergraduate applicants entering the University to study an undergraduate course at the Department of Mathematics.

Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Monday 23 February 2026:
- Possess a Home fee status; and
- Have an offer of admission from the university to study an undergraduate course in the Department of Mathematics.
The Department of Mathematics will assess your academic merit using your UCAS application, and shortlisted candidates may be invited to an online interview.
Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.
Selection Process
- Successful candidate will be notified by the end of April 2026.
- The scholarship offer will be confirmed after the successful candidate has been assessed for financial support through Student Finance England (SFE) (or equivalent funding authority), with a SFE verified household income of less than £70,000 for the 2026/27 academic year by 11:59 pm (UK local time) Friday 29 May 2026.
