The Palestinian Scholarship at Goldsmiths University of London is awarded to eligible applicants from Palestine who are interested in studying a degree at the University.

Benefits

 

• Successful applicants will receive a full tuition fee waiver and a living allowance of £20,500 per year during their studies.
• The University will also cover the cost of the student visa and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), and a return trip to and from the UK.

Requirements

You must meet the general eligibility criteria and regulations. You must also:

• Be Palestinian, priority will be given to those who normally reside in the West Bank, Gaza or one of the Palestinian refugee camps
• Be currently residing in Palestine or be a holder of Palestinian travel documents
• Require a Student visa to study in the UK
• Apply and hold an offer of study for a foundation, undergraduate or a postgraduate taught Masters course at Goldsmiths for 2026 entry
• Be taught in person (online degrees are not eligible)
• Priority will be given to applicants who have not studied at a university outside the West Bank, Gaza, Israel, or Lebanon
• Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously completed a degree or who are not currently studying for a degree at the time of application

Please note, if you are applying for a two-year postgraduate course, the scholarship will only cover one year. International foundation certificates are not eligible for this scholarship.

Selection Process

• Successful applicants will be selected on a competitive basis.
• Initial shortlisting by eligibility criteria will be completed by our Scholarships Co-ordinator. All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are then forwarded to the next selection stage.
• Applications will then be considered by an awarding panel. All panel members understand that applicants will have a broad range of differing skills, attributes and experiences, so they will give equal consideration to both the applicant’s academic record and their answers to the questions posed in the award application form. Panel members also understand that what is important is the content of the answers and their relevance to the questions, not the standard of writing.  
• The panel will consist of representatives from Admissions, an academic school, and the Students’ Union (or associated student representative eg President of the Palestine Society). The panel will assess the applications against the stated criteria.
• Final award recipients and reserve candidates will be decided by the panel.
