Imperial College London Jack Hirst Scholarship 2027/28

The Jack Hirst Scholarship at Imperial College London is a fully funded award exclusively for Nigerian nationals currently studying or researching Chemistry in Nigeria. It covers 100% of international tuition fees and provides a living stipend exceeding £22,000 per year for full-time postgraduate Master's programs (MSc or MRes) within the Department of Chemistry. To receive the funding, candidates must first secure an admission offer from an eligible Imperial Chemistry program and then formally submit their scholarship application before the deadline.

Full tuition fees at the Overseas rate and a stipend equivalent to the annual UKRI rate.

Requirements

This scholarship is open to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:

• You are a Nigerian national.

• You are currently studying or conducting research in Chemistry at a Nigerian academic institution at the time of your application.

• You have received an offer for a place on one of the eligible Chemistry Master’s courses at Imperial College London for 2026 entry.

• You are not a continuing student (i.e., you must be starting a new course in 2026).

To be considered, you must email the Chemistry Department at [email protected] by 23:59 (UK local time) on 21 May 2027, stating that you would like to be considered for this scholarship. The application form will be available in due course. 

Please note: This scholarship is available to new entrants only. Students already studying the course are not eligible.
