IOE Clarke Scholarships at University College London 2026 (Fully Funded)

IOE is delighted to have received a donation from the family of our former Director Sir Fred Clarke to provide scholarships for teachers from South Africa. 

These scholarships:

• are available for practising school teachers from South Africa who wish to undertake a masters’ programme at IOE
• will cover return flights to London, course tuition fees, and a monthly stipend for accommodation and subsistence in London.

Benefits

The Clarke Scholarship covers return flights to London, tuition fees and an annual stipend of £21,286 paid in monthly instalments (approx. £1773 per month) once the student has arrived in London.

Requirements

In order to apply for the Clarke Scholarships, candidates should:

• Be practicing school teachers
• Be nationals and residents in South Africa
• Have an unconditional offer to study a campus based Masters’ degree at IOE.

Please note that these scholarships are not available for the MA/MSc Educational Neuroscience or for online or part-time course
