University of Edinburgh is pleased to invite applications from outstanding candidates for 2026-2027 entry. This scholarship commemorates Rev Dr John Ross who was responsible for bringing Christianity to Korea and directed the first Korean translation of the New Testament.
One scholarship will be awarded to a new applicant from Korea who has applied for a postgraduate masters programme in the School of Divinity.
One scholarship is available which will cover full tuition fees (please note that you will still need to fund your living costs - https://study.ed.ac.uk/postgraduate/fees-funding/living-costs). This award will be tenable for one academic year and will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee.
The scholarship award holder is expected to be an energetic member of our postgraduate community, and will engage with opportunities to present their work to the wider student and staff body during the period covered by their award. We offer our postgraduates a range of training and development opportunities appropriate to their programme of study.
The Scholarship deadline will be 23:59 (UK Time) on Wednesday 1st April 2026.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of June 2026.
Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.
In order to gain access to the scholarship application system applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and access to be granted. We highly recommend you apply for the scholarship well in advance of the scholarship deadline date should you encounter any technical difficulties with your application which need resolved.
