Requirements

To apply for one of these scholarships you must:

• enrol on our BEng (Hons) Energy Engineering
• be applying for the first year of a three-year full-time degree, not a foundation year
• be domiciled in the UK and eligible to pay the home fee rate.

The University reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship and stop further payments if you withdraw from your course, suspend studies, transfer to an ineligible course or to another institution. Payments may also be suspended or the scholarship permanently withdrawn if you don’t remain fully committed and engaged with your learning, or if you fail to successfully progress to the next level of your course. You are required to maintain an excellent record of attendance, to complete all course assignments and assessments, and pay course fees when they are due.

Selection Process

• If you are eligible you are invited to apply shortly after you receive an offer. You shouldn't rely on scholarship payments to pay your course fees as course fee due dates may be earlier than when you receive your scholarship payments.
• 30 June 2026: closing date. You can submit an application after this date but applicants meeting the deadline are given priority.
• 1 September 2026: successful applicants are notified.
• Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.
