Loughborough University (abbreviated as Lough for post-nominals) is a public research university located in the market town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England. It has been a university since 1966, but the institution dates back to 1909, when the then Loughborough Technical Institute began with a focus on skills and knowledge which would be directly applicable in the wider world. The scholarship will cover 100% off the course fees for your chosen undergraduate degree for 3 years (replacing any departmental or other Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded) and a stipend to support living costs during your study at Loughborough University (amount to be confirmed). Students will be expected to fund their travel and visa costs through other sources.
The scholarship application procedure is an open competition. Students may only apply for the scholarship after an offer for a place in one of Loughborough University’s undergraduate programmes has been made. Students who are in possession of an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course can apply for the scholarship using the application form.
Applications will be initially shortlisted and the final decision on the awards will be made by a selection panel of senior staff of the University.
