Benefits

The studentships are funded for 3.5 years and include tuition fees, a stipend at the UK Research Council rate plus London weighting, and allowance for research consumables and travel.

• Stipend: Approx £22,780 pa
• Bench Fees: Desk-based
• Tuition fees: Home or International rate

Requirements

• Master's degree with Distinction or high Merit in a relevant subject, and usually a Bachelor of Science with 1st class or higher 2:1 honors. Alternatively, a four-year MSci with 1st class honors is also acceptable.
• The studentship is open to both home and international candidates.
• The applicant will need to have substantial knowledge and experience of Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory, Electromagnetism and General Relativity.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve a pre-selection on documents and, if selected, will be followed by an invitation to an interview. If successful at the interview, an offer will be provided in due course.
