Regent’s University London, in partnership with acclaimed screenwriting lecturer Robert McKee, offers a prestigious scholarship to support and elevate talented undergraduate students pursuing screenwriting. The scholarship recognises creative potential and aims to nurture the next generation of storytellers.

Requirements

  • Must be applying for an eligible undergraduate course starting in January or September 2026
  • Must demonstrate outstanding screenwriting potential
  • Open to both UK and international students

Selection Process

If shortlisted, you will be invited to interview (face-to-face or online) with members of the Film, Media & Performance team at Regent’s. You will be asked to discuss your short drama script and points from your statement, as well as answer other interview questions.

November 30, 2025

Please complete the following task and send your statement and script as attachments to [email protected].

Please include your full name, nationality and student number within the email.

Submit a short film script

Please submit a short film script, in correct screenplay formatting, of up to five minutes in length and a 1,000 word statement answering the following question:

  • ‘Why would being a Robert McKee International Screenwriting scholar be important to you?’
