The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship (Online Study) at University of Edinburgh 2026

Three scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2026-2027 academic session.

Benefits

• Three scholarships are available.
• The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the duration of the programme of study.
• For any programmes with ‘Additional Programme Costs’ as quoted on the degree finder, the scholarship will also cover those.

Requirements

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants who are accepted for admission in the 2026-2027 academic year on one of the listed eligible Human Medical programmes. The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship would particularly welcome applications from students from Africa.

Applicants are encouraged to complete their application including all required supporting documentation early. Applicants should already have been offered a place on an eligible programme and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so. Preference will be given to those who have an unconditional offer at time of the scholarship application deadline. 

It is envisioned that successful applicants, on completion of their studies, will continue to work in countries that will benefit most from their furthered medical education. Priority will be given to those who have not had the opportunity to study at Masters level previously.

Applicants must be currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries listed below and as derived from the DAC List of ODA Recipients 2026-2027. Please note the eligible countries are not a 1:1 match to the full DAC list. Rather, the DAC list has been used as an information source to help define the set of eligible countries. Domiciles not included in the list below unfortunately are not eligible for the Scholarship. The University defines applicant domicile as the country of ‘ordinary residence’. Further information about the definition will be provided on the scholarship application webform.

How To Apply

Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and access to be granted. We highly recommend you apply for the scholarship well in advance of the scholarship deadline date should you encounter any technical difficulties with your application which need resolved.

The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd - web based information portal at: https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
