The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, as determined by application to the School and entrance interview, and individuals who have been offered a place by the University of Aberdeen will be eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship is valued at £4,500 per annum for the 5 year duration of the MBChB degree and contributes to the maintenance costs incurred by the student. Should the recipient take a further year of study to complete an intercalated degree at the University of Aberdeen, the scholarship will be extended for the 6 year period.
