Requirements

• The Performance Sport Scholarship supports talented student-athletes who have the potential to make a significant impact within our flagship and performance sports while studying at the University of Birmingham.
• The scholarship is aimed at athletes who can demonstrate the potential to win BUCS medals or score points at BUCS Championship events in a BUCS scoring sport, as well as those who can contribute significantly to the success of our University first teams and squads.
• Particular consideration is given to athletes competing within our flagship and performance sports, including Athletics, Badminton, Hockey, Men's Rugby Union, Netball, Squash and Swimming.
• The scholarship is available exclusively to incoming undergraduate and postgraduate students and provides a cash award of up to £2,000, alongside access to specialist performance support.
• Eligible incoming undergraduate recipients may also receive a one-grade reduction in the academic conditions of their offer to study at the University of Birmingham.
