Benefits

Amount: 50% reduction in tuition fees for the first year of study.

Requirements

• Overseas fee-paying students who are self-funded.
  Must be enrolling in the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree at Essex in October 2025-26.
• Students must be transferring from one of the listed partner institutions via the UK Law transfer degree routes:2+1 route: Must have a minimum of 68%.
• 1+2 route: Must have a minimum of 56%.
• Submit a 500-word essay as part of the application.
• Cannot hold this scholarship with any other University of Essex scholarships.
• The scholarship is available for first-year undergraduate students starting in 2025-26 only.
• Successful applicants must be available for promotional activities.
  Ineligible Students:
• Students undertaking a wholly online degree.
• Students who defer their entry to a later academic year.
• Students who are sponsored by their government or any external agency and don’t need to repay (excluding VISA sponsorship).
• Students assessed as paying home tuition fees.
• Students whose first year of study at Essex was prior to 2025-26.

To be considered for these awards you must complete and submit the application below by 11 July 2025. Alongside the application form, you must submit a 500-word supporting essay which will be considered by the selection panel alongside other applications.
