To celebrate the valued partnership with King Power, the University of Leicester is delighted to introduce the King Power Thai Scholarship.
This exclusive award recognises the shared commitment of King Power and the University of Leicester to advancing education, opportunity, and cultural exchange between UK and Thailand.
Under this scheme, all Thai-domiciled international students commencing a full-time, campus-based undergraduate or postgraduate taught (PGT) programme in September 2026 will automatically receive a tuition fee discount of £5,000.

Requirements
- You must be classified as an international student for fee purposes and currently domiciled in Thailand (permanently living there, not for the purpose of study).
- You must be starting a full-time, campus-based undergraduate or postgraduate taught (PGT) course in September 2026.
- The discount will be automatically applied to eligible offer holders – no separate application is required.
- The award will be applied to tuition fees only and is not transferable.
- The fee stated in your offer letter will be the final fee, and no other University scholarships or discounts may be applied in addition to this award (unless explicitly stated).
- The discount does not cover placement year fees, resit costs, or other additional charges associated with your course.
- If you are a sponsored student, you may still qualify for this discount provided you meet all other eligibility criteria.
- Please refer to the relevant course page for the current placement fee.
- If you are a sponsored student, unless otherwise stated, you are still eligible for the discount provided you meet the other eligibility criteria.
- Eligible students in receipt of a Commonwealth Masters, or Chevening fully funded scholarship do not qualify for this fee discount.
