Eligible Countries
You could be eligible to receive this tuition fee discount if you are a national of one of the following countries:
- Africa: Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Kingdom of Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Togo, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia.
- Asia: Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, India, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.
- Caribbean and Americas: Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico, Saint Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago.
- Europe: Cyprus, Malta, Turkey.
- Australia and Pacific: Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu.
Eligibility Criteria for All Applicants
To receive this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible Master's Course: You must be joining one of the 140+ eligible master's degrees, including MRes programs, starting in September 2025 or January 2026.
- On-Campus Study: Your program must be studied on campus in Liverpool.
- International Fee Payer: You must be personally responsible for paying your tuition fees at the international rate.
- Offer Acceptance & Deposit: You must accept your offer of a place and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline indicated in your offer letter.
You will NOT be eligible for this scholarship if you:
- Have previously studied at University of Liverpool International College, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), or completed your undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool. (If you have prior study at Liverpool, you might be eligible for the University of Liverpool Graduate Loyalty Advancement Scholarship.)
- Will be studying your program online.
- Already hold a master's degree.
- Are having your fees paid by a sponsor (such as a government, commercial organization, or employer) on your behalf.
- Are joining a PGCert, Professional Doctorate (including DDSc awards), MPhil, MArch, PhD, or any master's course not listed as eligible.
If you apply for or intend to study part-time, any eligible tuition fee discount will be applied at a pro-rata rate over the duration of your course. For example, if you intend to study over two years, you will receive 50% of the tuition fee discount in each year.
Please note: If you are eligible for the Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Country or Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Achievement, you will not be eligible for the Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Course.

No application is necessary for this scholarship. The Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Country will be automatically awarded to all eligible students who meet the criteria, up to a maximum of £2,500.
