This is a competitive award applied as a tuition fee discount of £10,000 in the first year of study and £2,500 in each subsequent year subject to meeting progression criteria. This award can be combined with IDA Sheffield Scholarship worth an additional £30,000.

Requirements
- Start an undergraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in September 2027.
- Be an overseas fee-paying student.
- Hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate course at Sheffield.
- Choose the University of Sheffield as your firm or insurance choice by 2 June 2027, 4pm UK time.
- Be signed with Inspire Development Academy (IDA) at the point of registration.
- Be self-funded and eligible to pay overseas tuition fees.
- Not be a sponsored student.
- Enter your degree programme in Year 1.
- Medicine and Dentistry are excluded. MArch programmes are also excluded.
- Remain part of IDA throughout your course to continue receiving the award.
Selection Process
This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior members of staff will select the strongest applications and will be looking for the following:
- Applicant has a strong academic profile.
- Applicant has a strong athletic profile and professional development potential.
- Applicant has given examples of achievements which represent excellence and initiative in educational, voluntary, or extra-curricular areas.
- Applicant has shown leadership and character qualities aligning with the Inspire Development Academy values.
