The UK Government has confirmed EU students are now classified as International students for tuition fee purposes. At Stirling, we wish to support our EU students who are affected by this change in status through this transition.
For eligible EU students starting their undergraduate course with us in January 2027, September 2026 and September 2027 we will award an automatic £5,000 fee discount each year, for Years 1-3. Having entered Year 1 and progressed successfully through Years 2 and 3, eligible students will be awarded a scholarship covering the full cost of the fees for their Honours year (Year 4) of study.

Requirements
- You must be classed as an International student for tuition fee purposes.
- You must be ordinarily resident in the EU prior to commencing your studies.
- Students from the Republic of Ireland are now classified as RUK for fee purposes and are therefore eligible for our range of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland scholarships.
- You must have received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree course, delivered at the University’s Stirling campus.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other University of Stirling scholarship (the exception being the University of Stirling’s Sports Scholarships).
- You must be a new student starting at the University in September 2026 or January 2027, or progressing from the University of Stirling International Study Centre, in September 2026 or January 2027.
- Students progressing from a Foundation or International Year Two programme at University of Stirling International Study Centre must have been domiciled in the EU at the point of application to the International Study Centre.
