The University of Portsmouth is offering the Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship to eligible international students enrolling in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programs starting in September 2025. This scholarship aims to ease financial pressure for students from select countries by providing a tuition fee reduction for the first year of study.
A £2,500 tuition fee reduction
Applicants must:
Be a self-funded international student assessed as an overseas fee-payer
Be enrolled in a full-time, on-campus undergraduate or postgraduate (taught or research) course with tuition fees of at least £16,200 per year
Be starting their first course at the University of Portsmouth in September 2025 (not eligible if previously studied at the university)
Not be receiving any other scholarships, discounts, or fee offers
Be eligible based on nationality, as listed above
Be progressing from ICP (International College Portsmouth) or applying directly to the University

Automatic based on meeting eligibility criteria
No separate application or competitive process
Awarded at the time of registration
There is no separate application form for this scholarship.
Eligible students are automatically considered during the admission process.
