Working with local people this role will be supporting in both, organising and mobilising members of the public to take actions supportive of International Aid and Development, including climate crisis and refugee rights. As part of a team of organisers, you will support the building of an active local community presence to support the Aid Alliance’s aims. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organisation and logistical skills, with a strong commitment to the aims of the Campaign.
The Aid Alliance is a collaboration between 25 leading international development NGOs, hosted by the sector trade body BOND. Aid Alliance aims to defend the UK’s commitment to Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) of 0.7% of GNI, campaign for the return of Department for International Development as an independent government department, and to shift the debate to one focused on improving aid quality, rather than questioning aid quantity.
