2026-27 PGT Scholarship for Nigerian Applicants at Northumbria University

Northumbria University are delighted to offer the Northumbria International Scholarship, awarding Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students domiciled in Nigeria and joining in September 2026 or January 2027, with a £6,000 fee discount, simply for choosing to study with the University.

Requirements

To be eligible for the Northumbria International Scholarship, you must:

• Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
• Be domiciled in Nigeria
• Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
• Be accepted and enrolled on a Full-Time Postgraduate Taught course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2026 or January 2027 (**see exclusions below)
• Meet all individual course requirements

Exempted courses are:

• Any Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters course
• Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
• Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Adult) MSc
• Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Child) MSc
• Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Mental Health) MSc
• Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) MSc
• Midwifery Studies MSc
• Social Work MA
• Bar, Bar LLM, LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1)
