Brikbeck University of London 2023 Postgraduate Support Fund

• Thanks to a generous donation from the estate of Ms Evelyn Pullin and other anonymous benefactors, we are able to offer a Postgraduate Support Fund for new and existing postgraduate research students in the School of SSHP.
• The fund can be used for:
  • expenses associated with specific research training needs
  • fieldwork or research trips
  • conferences, workshops or other academic events where the applicant is presenting a paper or chairing a session (please discuss with your supervisor which conferences you might attend well before applying).

Aim and Benefits of Brikbeck University of London Postgraduate Scholarship

• Awards will not be approved in excess of £500 per student per academic year (October to September). Expenses should normally be claimed within the academic year of the award.
• You are expected to have already used any alternative sources of funding available to you (departmental allowances, externally-funded studentships, or other College awards and bursaries).

Requirements for Brikbeck University of London Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

• Original receipts (not credit card slips) will be required for any reimbursement claim so please retain these. Payment will be made only for eligible expenses in line with College financial regulations. You must make a claim within three months of the original payment.

How to Apply

• • Please complete an application form with a supporting statement from your primary supervisor, either attached to your application or forwarded separately.
  • Applications will be judged on an individual basis by a School-level committee, and applicants will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible after the deadline.

  • There are two deadlines, in November and May each academic year. Please email any queries and applications to the SSHP postgraduate research team.
