Requirements
To be considered for the Buffini Chao Foundation Elevate Acting Scholarship, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Ethnic Background: You must be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background.
- Course Offer: You must hold a firm offer to study a new, full-time BA (Hons) Acting course at Manchester Met for the 2025/26 academic year. This excludes foundation year and distance learning courses.
- Household Income: Your household income must be £25,000 or less, as assessed by Student Finance England (or equivalent Student Finance bodies for Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland). If you are not applying for a maintenance loan through Student Finance, you should contact the university.
- UK Student Status: You must be a UK student (English, Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish) paying the standard full-time fees, and you must have a UK Student Support Number.
- Self-Funded Course Fees: Your course fees must be paid by yourself (e.g., through a student loan or parental contributions). You are not eligible if your course fees are paid by a business, charity, or other organization (e.g., through a sponsorship arrangement).
