The Richard Beeston Bursary will support an International student on the Master’s in International Journalism course at City St George's, University of London.
Established in memory of the distinguished foreign editor of The Times, Richard Beeston this will provide a student with a £6,000 bursary towards living costs.
Successful applicants will receive a £6,000 bursary towards living costs.
Open to any student from overseas with an offer for the MA International Journalism course for academic year 2025/26.
The name of the bursary recipient will be shared with the donors.
The recipient will be required to submit a one page annual report at the end of the academic year which will be sent to the donors.
The recipient may be asked to provide a testimonial on the impact the bursary has made.

Interviews will take place online at the end of June

“What roles do foreign correspondents currently have in the current news media landscape?”
Please include personal reflections of how foreign correspondents impact the news ecosystem within your home country.
