Courtauld institute of art James Hughes-Hallett Memorial Fund Scholarship 2025

This scholarship supports students from underrepresented backgrounds in UK Higher Education who are studying for a BA in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art. Funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and donations to the James Hughes-Hallett Memorial Fund, it aims to reduce financial barriers and promote inclusivity in the arts.

£10,000 Paid in three equal instalments annually

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Attend a non-fee-paying UK school or college

• Have a household income below £45,000 per year

• Be studying at undergraduate level for the first time

• Hold an offer to study at The Courtauld

Selection Process

You are more likely to be awarded the scholarship if you also meet one or more of the criteria below:

•    Care leavers
•    Estranged students
•    Your parents(s) / guardian(s) did not attend university
•    Carers
•    Received or were eligible for free school meals
•    Students living with a disability
•    Students from a minority ethnic group
•    Students with refugee status
