This scholarship supports students from underrepresented backgrounds in UK Higher Education who are studying for a BA in History of Art at The Courtauld Institute of Art. Funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and donations to the James Hughes-Hallett Memorial Fund, it aims to reduce financial barriers and promote inclusivity in the arts.
£10,000 Paid in three equal instalments annually
Applicants must:
Attend a non-fee-paying UK school or college
Have a household income below £45,000 per year
Be studying at undergraduate level for the first time
Hold an offer to study at The Courtauld
You are more likely to be awarded the scholarship if you also meet one or more of the criteria below:
• Care leavers
• Estranged students
• Your parents(s) / guardian(s) did not attend university
• Carers
• Received or were eligible for free school meals
• Students living with a disability
• Students from a minority ethnic group
• Students with refugee status
