This Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) funded project in the DPhil in Engineering Science will require you to investigate a particular project in depth and write a thesis which makes a significant contribution to the field. This course is focussed on a single project funded by the EPSRC Industrial Doctoral Landscape Award (IDLA): Gas Turbine Heat Management. The industrial partner for this project is Rolls-Royce. You will acquire a wide range of research and transferable skills, as well as in-depth knowledge, understanding and expertise in your chosen field of research. You will become part of a vibrant community of researchers.
The successful applicant who is offered a place on this course will be offered a fully-funded scholarship, covering all course fees for the duration of their course and a living stipend.
As a minimum, applicants should hold or be predicted to achieve the following UK qualifications or their equivalent:
A previous master's qualification is not required.
For applicants with a degree from the USA, the minimum overall GPA that is normally required to meet the undergraduate-level requirement is 3.5 out of 4.0.
