DURHAM INSPIRING EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP 10K 2025

The Inspiring Excellence 10K scholarship rewards International Students applying to seven Masters Programmes at Durham University. 

Each scholarship is a competitive award worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025. The selection will be based on an individual’s achievements and potential for positive impact upon completion of their Postgraduate Degree at Durham University.

The scholarship will consist of a £10,000 per year tuition fee discount.

Requirements

To be eligible for Durham’s Inspiring Excellence 10K postgraduate scholarships, you must:

• have applied to one of the following seven masters programmes specified above for September 2025
• meet or exceed the entry requirements for the programme applied for at Durham University
• be classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes
• self-funded and not supported by external sponsor or already be in receipt of any other scholarship (from the university or externally)
• complete the Inspiring Excellence 10K postgraduate scholarships application form by 08th June 2025
• have received an offer for a Master’s programme at Durham University by 08th June 2025.

Please note that scholarships (tuition fee discounts) are not transferable and not deferrable, no cash alternative is offered and awardees' tuition fees will be automatically adjusted at the time of enrolment at Durham University.

Applicants must be willing to participate and cooperate in marketing and communications activities (Scholarship Commitments) for their Faculty/Durham University. This may include testimonials and public relations opportunities, as well as being involved in and attending Open Events, Webinars or being a class representative.

Scholars who withdraw from their Scholarship Commitments or from the University will have all future scholarship discounts cancelled.

Scholars who suspend their Scholarship Commitments or academic studies will have all future scholarship discounts cancelled. Please note that only under exceptional circumstances e.g. medical reasons, and at the sole discretion of the Faculty Executive Dean, approval may be given for discounts to recommence after suspended studies continue.

How To Apply

1. Apply for one of the eligible courses

   Please ensure you have submitted an academic application, with all supporting documents , via the postgraduate online application portal for one of the eligible programmes.

   You will need to have received an offer (conditional or unconditional) for the programme you applied at Durham by:

   - 08th June 2025 

   Durham University Applicant Portal 

2. Complete & Submit the Scholarship Form by the deadlines

   In addition to submitting the academic application above, complete the Inspiring Excellence 10K Scholarship Online Application by midnight (GMT) 08th June 2025
