MESPOM is an Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management operated by four leading European Universities and 11 partners around the world. MESPOM prepares students for identifying and implementing solutions to complex environmental challenges, especially in an international context.
The MESPOM study programme is in English and lasts two years (24 months). The students study in at least three of the consortium universities: Central European University (CEU, Austria), the University of the Aegean (UAegean, Greece), Lund University (LU, Sweden), the University of Manchester (UoM, UK). MESPOM is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree receiving support from Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus programme.
The MESPOM study programme lasts two years. The fall and winter semesters of the first year are spent at Central European University, Vienna and the spring semester - at the University of the Aegean, Greece. In summer, students take internships supervised by MESPOM faculty and hosted by Associated Partners or other organisations. For the first half of the 2nd year students can choose to study at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University or at the School of Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of Manchester. The 4th (research) semester may be hosted by any of the Consortium partners. All MESPOM graduates receive Master of Science (MSc) degrees from CEU, Lund University, the University of the Aegean, and the University of Manchester.
Outstanding candidates from all over the world are offered Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) Scholarships.
The scholarship is awarded to the highest-ranked applicants for 24 months for full-time enrolment (120 ECTS credits) as is the master programme duration.
An EMJM scholarship holder cannot benefit from another EU funded scholarship scheme to follow the same (or another) EMJM master course (for the entire period of enrolment in the course).
