This scholarship was established through a generous gift by George McElveen III to support students from the USA – particularly from North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia – with an interest in golf.
The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews.
£10,000 towards tuition fees.
Available to students studying at:
Undergraduate
Overseas
Available to students in the following Schools and Departments:
Financial need (Hardship, means tested), Evidence based (e.g. sport/music/travel)
Prospective students
Full time, Part time - daytime
United States of America
This scholarship is only available to applicants who express an interest in golf. Applicants can articulate their enthusiasm for golf in their application form.
