Laplace Solutions Ltd are delighted to support and invest in a student from the UK studying an one of the undergraduate subjects listed below at Glasgow Caledonian University.
The scholarship includes an annual bursary of £1500 throughout each of the four years of their study at the University, to be disbursed in October of each academic year.
Laplace are also delighted to be able to offer a paid summer work placement with their organisation, for every summer of their four years of study. They may also mentor the scholarship recipient to provide industry advice and guidance throughout their studies.

Benefits

- £250 upon completion of your degree to assist with fees associated with graduation such as the hire of academic robes.

Requirements
The University welcome applications from GCU students from the UK starting 1st year in September 2025 studying on the following courses:
- BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering
- BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
- BSc (Hons) Environmental Civil Engineering
- BSc (Hons) Computing
- BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Networks
- BSc (Hons) Software Development
The following students are not eligible for the Undergraduate Scholarship regardless of meeting the above criteria:
- Students who do not hold an offer for a relevant course listed above
- Students who are fully or partly sponsored.
- Where a scholarship has been awarded to a student who subsequently defers entry to the following academic year, the award will be withdrawn and the applicant will be considered again in line with the terms and conditions that apply in the new proposed year of entry.
- It is non-transferable to any non-engineering programme if you change your course from the one specified at time of application.
- A thank you letter should be submitted upon confirmation of the scholarship, to be given to the scholarship donor, Laplace Solutions Ltd.
- A short annual report to be submitted, based on your experience as a scholarship recipient and how this award has made a difference to you (this will be required nearing the end of every year of study).
- Approval for any use of photographs and quotes to be used in printed media and on University websites. These can be anonymised.
- We strongly encourage attendance at any scholarship-related events, hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University.
