Glasgow Caledonian University The Data Lab Scholarship 2025

Glasgow Caledonian University, in partnership with The Data Lab and the Scottish Funding Council, is offering fully funded scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year. These scholarships cover full tuition fees for eligible students enrolled in MSc Big Data Technologies, MSc User Experience and Interaction Design, or MSc Financial Technology. Designed for students who are ordinarily resident in Scotland, the scholarship also includes industry-focused training, networking opportunities, and access to The Data Lab community platform—preparing graduates for impactful careers in data-driven sectors.

Requirements

Applicants must have applied and received an offer for the full-time or part-time programmes below:

• MSc Big Date Technologies programmes starting in September 2025.
• Full tuition fee scholarships are available for students who meet the Scottish Government’s residency condition, that is, they are an “ordinary resident” in Scotland.
  To check if you are eligible please refer to this SAAS.gov.uk guidance. EU students with settled or pre-settled status may be eligible
• International fee-paying students cannot apply 
• EU citizens who have not received pre-settlement status are no longer eligible to apply.

Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, motivation and financial circumstances.

Selection Process

• If you are offered and have accepted a place at GCU and if the University has selected you for a Data Lab MSc Scholarship, you will be invited to complete a Data Lab MSc scholarship application form (you can only have one application open at any one time). The application form will be provided by the University.
• Data Lab will review your submission and let you and your university know the result.
• Once you have accepted the offer, GCU will formally invite you to join the programme.
