Benefits

• For undergraduate applicants, the Global Silver Excellence Scholarship is worth £3,000 for every year of study starting from September 2026. 
• For postgraduate applicants starting, the Global Silver Excellence Scholarship is worth £2,500.

Requirements

• To be eligible for this scholarship you must be applying for the first year of full-time study on an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate master’s programme.
• Self-funded students who successfully complete the International Foundation Year at Salford with a grade between 65 - 69 are eligible for this scholarship if they progress to one of our eligible undergraduate programmes starting in 2024-2025.
• If you are an undergraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme and achieve A-level grades BBC  or equivalent from your country. Equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages.
• If you are a postgraduate applicant, you must hold an offer for an eligible programme, achieve at least a second-class lower (2.2) degree or above and meet your offer conditions by the admission deadline (equivalent qualifications are shown on our country pages).

• Starting from September 2026, Undergraduate students who are eligible for our Global Gold or Global Silver Excellence Awards will receive this scholarship for every year of study. Students must maintain a good academic record throughout their studies to continue to receive this scholarship.

  Current students who started their course before this date and who are eligible for the Global Gold or Global Silver Excellence Award will only receive the scholarship for the first year of study.

  Students on the following courses are not eligible for this scholarship:

• Any undergraduate programmes including a placement with the NHS, including Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Prosthetics and Orthotics.
• MA Fashion Design
• MSc Occupational Therapy
• MA Wildlife Documentary Production
• MA Social Work
• Any postgraduate research course

How To Apply

• There is no separate application process for this scholarship.
• You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study.
• If you are successfully offered this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified in order to receive the funding.
