In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, University College Birmingham is offering GREAT Scholarships worth £10,000 for the September 2026 intake. Candidates must be from Pakistan and be applying for one of our Postgraduate programmes.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at over 60 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Requirements
To apply for this scholarship, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- You must have received and accepted an offer to study on a full-time Postgraduate programme at University College Birmingham. Part-time courses, distance learning courses or other levels of study are not eligible.
- You must have overseas fee status and be paying overseas tuition fees. Home fee payers are not eligible.
- You must be a permanent resident and passport holder of Pakistan.
- You must have paid at least £1,000 towards your deposit within 14 days of receiving your scholarship offer. Otherwise, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn.
- You agree to provide testimonials, feature in case studies and/or participate in marketing activities upon request.
Selection Process
Applications for Postgraduate programmes starting in September 2026 are open. The deadline to apply is 31 May 2026. Successful applicants will be notified via email by 30 June 2026.

- Include a personal statement of no more than 500 words outlining your achievements to date and how this scholarship and Postgraduate study at University College Birmingham will support your future goals. This statement can be submitted via the application link above. Preference will be given to those with an outstanding academic record, such as a UK first-class degree or its equivalent.
- You will be notified of the outcome via email.
