The value of each award is up to a £17,000contribution towards tuition fees, tenable for the period of Master’s study.
This will be awarded as a reduction in the tuition fee billed to the student. Awards for applicants with Home/EU fee status will be the full Home/EU fee and those for applicants with Overseas fee status will be a £17,000contribution towards the Overseas fee. Therefore the exact value of the scholarship will be based on the applicant’s fee status.
The scholarship is open to applicants to the Master’s courses listed below, who are currently in their final year of undergraduate study at Imperial College, and also to those who have already completed undergraduate degrees at Imperial.
Applicants must (have) attain(ed) a minimum of a 2:1 in their undergraduate degree to qualify for the scholarship.
Course specific information:
Applicants should make an online application for the desired course of study in the normal way, but must also indicate within their application that they wish to be considered for the Furneaux Fund.
Applicants must include a paragraph in their personal statement outlining the reasons for their interest in agriculture-related applications, why the funding is needed to enable them to undertake the course and details of the source of any additional funds that will support them during the year of study.
