Applications are invited for a Research Associate to work on a new study funded by the Wellcome Trust. The aim of this project is to advance understanding of the lived experiences and support needs of minoritised ethnic people with multiple long-term conditions, and transform how healthcare providers, communities and policymakers construct, respond to, and support them in local and national contexts.
The post holder will be based at the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine; a unique interdisciplinary community that connects social scientists, biomedical researchers and clinicians, who explore the complex social determinants of health, illness and ageing in a global perspective.
They are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on this exciting study. The post requires experience of conducting qualitative research and community engagement. The post holder will assist with recruitment of minoritised ethnic people with multiple long-term conditions, their carers, healthcare providers, community leaders, and policy makers and conduct interview using narrative and creative approaches. The postholder will contribute to analysing the qualitative data collected, preparing high quality outputs, disseminating research findings to different audiences and completing administrative tasks related to the study.
You will gain experience of conducting research in different settings, using innovative techniques to understand the support needs of minoritised ethnic people with multiple long-term conditions and collaborating with community organisations and policy makers.
44,355 - £46,671 per annum, including London Weighting Aloowance.
