King’s College London is committed to supporting students who may face financial barriers while pursuing higher education. The King’s Living Bursary 2025–26 provides automatic, non-repayable financial support to eligible full-time UK undergraduate students based on household income. Designed to help with living costs, this bursary ensures students can focus on their studies without added financial pressure. Students are assessed through Student Finance and contacted automatically if eligible—no separate application is required.

Award amounts are based on household income:
£2,000 for students with income ≤ £25,000
£1,900 for income £25,001–£33,500
£1,600 for income £33,501–£42,875
Paid in two equal instalments (November & February).
Must be a Home (UK) student
Studying a first full-time undergraduate degree or PGCE
Eligible for home fee status
Eligible for Student Finance maintenance support
Must be means-tested by Student Finance (England, NI, Wales, or SAAS)
Final assessed household income must be £42,875 or less
Liable for the £9,535 tuition fee (some exceptions for specific years/programmes)
Must give consent (you and your sponsor) for income data sharing with King’s
Not eligible if:
On postgraduate programmes (except PGCE)
On postgraduate healthcare programmes leading to registration
Receiving NHS Bursary funding (e.g., NHS-funded medical/dental year)
EU student not receiving maintenance loan (only tuition fee loan)
Students do not need to apply for the King's Living Bursary and will be contacted automatically before the end of November 2025, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
