Lancaster University MORSE Scholarship 2024

BSc Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics (MORSE) is a coherent degree designed for students who wish to apply their mathematical skills to solve real-world problems in business and industry.

Our programme covers:

• Foundational mathematics topics such as Algebra and Calculus, developing your technical knowledge and mathematical skills.
• Operational research modules demonstrating how to use mathematics to solve real-world problems encountered by governments, industries, and other institutions, using programming languages like Python or R.
• Probability and statistics topics providing you with the ability to understand and address uncertainty in your surroundings.
• Economics modules, equipping you to use models to understand real-world economic phenomena such as economic growth, the causes of economic fluctuations, and the effectiveness of economic policy.

Requirements

• The Lancaster University MORSE Scholarship 2024 will be awarded to one MORSE offer holder joining the program in October 2024.
• All offer conditions must be met or exceeded and applicants must place Lancaster University as their firm choice institution.
• The MORSE scholarship will be awarded as a cash payment in February 2024. The awardee must be a current student and will be paid via bank transfer.
• The Recipient will be expected to fully participate in a range of activities during their studies.

How To Apply

• Applicants will need to submit up to 300 words on how they would benefit from a MORSE degree at Lancaster University and how they expect the degree to support their future ambitions by email to [email protected].
• The closing date is 9 June, 2024.
• Applicants to the scholarship must have an offer to study MORSE at Lancaster.
