One scholarship worth up to £14,000 is available which will include:

  • Course Fees of £6,300
  • Up to £2,000 towards return flights
  • A total stipend of up to £5,700 to cover the cost of a UK Standard Visitor Visa, health insurance and living costs

Requirements

  • Applicants must be nationals of Sierra Leone or Tanzania who are also ordinarily domiciled in Sierra Leone or Tanzania.
  • For students applying to study on the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene for September 2025 entry.
  • Should have a conditional offer for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.

How To Apply

  1. Apply for the Programme:
    First, apply for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTMH) at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine for the September 2025 entry.

  2. Receive a Conditional Offer:
    Once you are offered admission (conditional or unconditional), you will receive access to the scholarship application form.

    • If you've already received your offer, a link to the live scholarship form will be sent to you via email.

    • If you're yet to receive your offer, the link to the scholarship form will be included in your Conditional Offer Letter.

  3. Complete the Scholarship Application Form:
    Fill out the form with your personal and academic details.

  4. Write Your Statement (Max 700 words):
    In your application, you must clearly demonstrate:

    • That you are a national and resident of Sierra Leone or Tanzania.

    • Your academic or research goals related to the DTMH.

    • How the course will impact your career, help reduce health inequalities, and support your role as a future leader in your country.

  5. Submit the Application:
    Ensure your scholarship application is completed and submitted before the deadline: 23:59 on Monday, 30 June 2025.
