McGlashan Charitable Trust Bursary at UHI 2025

The McGlashan Charitable Trust have for more than 30 years supported access to education by providing grants to students studying at postgraduate level. This year, they are providing a non-repayable bursary for Postgraduate Taught or Postgraduate Research students who are care experienced.

A non-repayable bursary

Requirements

The Trust prioritise funding for those who are care experienced. There is no age limit, however to apply you must meet the following criteria;

• Be born in Scotland OR be born elsewhere and planning to study in Scotland
• Be able to demonstrate current financial challenge with little or no access to family support; the Trust prioritise supporting students facing socioeconomic challenge
• Be studying at Postgraduate level only. Please note that the Trust don’t regularly fund 2nd postgraduate degrees (this includes Law and Medical conversion degrees)
