The School of Economics is pleased to offer the Minto Scholarship, with a bequest from the estate of Mr Brian Dickinson, for PhD research in economics.
The scholarship provides a stipend at UKRI rates (this is updated each academic year; for 2025/2026 this was £20,780), paid monthly, and a full fee waiver, and is awarded for four years subject to satisfactory academic progression. The School's PhD programme has a duration of four years; applicants should be advised that no funding is provided during the writing-up period.
The Minto scholarship is available to students who are residents of the following countries:
