Newcastle University 2025 North American Athlete Scholarship

Newcastle University offers partial scholarship awards to encourage North American athletes (or those with NCAA or NAIA playing experience) to undertake Master’s level study.

Benefits

Awards have a value of up to £16,000 payable to the student’s tuition fee account (up to 60% fee reduction) and include a comprehensive support package including:

• Unlimited strength and conditioning support

• Physiotherapy and sports massage 
• Lifestyle support and mentoring. 

Requirements

Applicants should ideally have NCAA D1- D3 or NAIA playing experience in one of the following sports: Basketball, Lacrosse, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Women’s Soccer, Waterpolo.  

They must also be: 

• Registered at Newcastle University for the 2025/26 academic year 
• Registered for one of the following eligible courses: 

- Masters - MA; MBA; MClinRes; MEd; MMedEd; LLM; LLM (by research); MLitt; MPH; MRes; MSc; MScL 

- Postgraduate Certificates and Postgraduate Diplomas. 

• Defined as international for fee purposes 
• Registered to study at Newcastle University city centre campus
