The University of Essex in parnetship with Kings College London and University of Cambridge is offering a fully funded NIHR funded programme in applied mental health research to address key mental health challenges in Essex, Southend and Thurrock (Greater Essex).

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive a PhD scholarship for up to a maximum of three years of study, including:

• Home tuition fee waiver – Overseas fee payers would pay the difference between Home and Overseas fees.
• Living costs stipend at the UK Research and Innovation recommended level per year. The stipend for 2025-26 is £20,780.

Requirements

 The PhD Studentships are for students studying one of the following courses:

• PhD Health Studies
• PhD Public health
• PhD Applied Psychology
