This scholarship has been established by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies to provide funding for UK students from Muslim communities. The Centre was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. The Centre provides a meeting point for the Western and Islamic worlds of learning. At Oxford it contributes to the multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary study of the Islamic world. Beyond Oxford, its role is strengthened by a developing international network of academic contacts.

The successful candidates are awarded the following benefits:
- Course fees (at the Home rate)
- Grant for living costs of at least £6,050
Requirements
- Applicants must be residents of the UK and from a Muslim community.
- Applicants must enroll in an eligible undergraduate program offered at the university.
- Applicants must exhibit good academic standing.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants intending to pursue a second undergraduate do not qualify.
Application Deadline

- You must make an application to the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course through UCAS by 15 October 2024, and be successful in gaining a place.
- If you have been offered a place at the University of Oxford for an undergraduate course for 2025 entry, you should apply online by 12 noon (UK time) on 12 February 2025. Applications for these scholarships will open on 15 January 2025.
- For 2025 entry applicants who apply by the 12 February 2025 scholarship deadline, the selection process will be undertaken in April 2025.
- Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of June 2025.
