The University of Exeter’s Department of Public Health and Sport Sciences is offering a 4-year fully funded PhD studentship investigating the influence of organic farming standards on the nutritional quality of dairy products. This interdisciplinary research, supported by Yeo Valley, will involve systematic reviews, advanced nutritional analyses, and human trials. The student will be based at St Luke’s Campus, with some work at Streatham Campus, beginning October 2025.
For Home students:
Full tuition fee coverage
Annual tax-free stipend of at least £20,780, for 4 years full-time
Opportunity to work on a real-world, interdisciplinary project with an industry partner
For International students:
Partial tuition fee coverage (approximately £25,000)
No stipend provided
Must self-fund visa, health surcharge, and relocation costs
Applicants must:
Hold or be about to obtain a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree, or equivalent, in:
Nutrition
Physiology
Sport Science
Or a related discipline
Meet English language proficiency requirements if English is not your first language
Be prepared to engage in systematic reviews, metabolomic analysis, and human trials
