Applications are open for this fully funded PhD Studentship. This research will generate new knowledge, insight and novel antibacterial molecules which will contribute to counteract the continuing emergence and spread of Antimicrobial resistance. The start date is October 2026
Academic criteria
Applicants for a studentship must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a first or upper second-class UK honours degree, or the equivalent qualification gained outside the UK, in an appropriate area of medical sciences, computing, mathematics or the physical sciences.
Applicants with a lower second-class degree will only be considered if they also have a master’s degree. Academic qualifications are considered alongside significant relevant non-academic experience.
English Language
Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) English language requirements for postgraduate students - Study - Cardiff University
