Sheffield Hallam University Placement Bursary 2025-2026

The Placement Bursary is available to provide financial support for students who have a placement year as part of a sandwich course. Students on health or education courses who have placements as part of their course each year are not eligible for the Placement Bursary.

Benefits

Eligible students will be awarded a one-off payment of £500.

Requirements

You will be invited to apply for the Placement Bursary if you:

• are a UK or 'home' fee status student,
• are paying the University's placement year fee (or are in receipt of a tuition fee loan to cover this amount),
• were means-tested by Student Finance England (or similar) in 2024/25 with a household income of £62,377 or below,
• are enrolled on a placement year in 2025/26, and
• are undertaking a placement that has been approved by the university.
