Benefits

Depending on your region, the award provides:

  • £3,000 for students from Nigeria, Ghana, or Southeast Asia

  • £2,000 for students from South Asia
    Note: Pro-rata discounts apply if PG course has fewer than 180 credits

Requirements

To be eligible you must be:

  • domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam.
  • self-financing your tuition fees.
  • entering a full-time taught postgraduate course or a full-time taught undergraduate course.
  • starting in September 2025.
  • studying at Sheffield Hallam for the first time.

Vice-Chancellor's Awards are applied automatically and confirmed in your offer letter.

If you receive an award, you still need to:

  • meet any academic conditions in your offer
  • pay your deposit
  • pay the remaining prepayment (£8,000 in total which includes your deposit)
