The Parkes Institute for the Study of Relations between Jews and non-Jews at the University of Southampton is offering scholarships to support international postgraduate students studying the MA in Holocaust: History, Experience, Heritage. In 2025, up to 3 scholarships are available, awarded competitively to outstanding applicants.
1 James Parkes Scholarship: £6,500 (tuition fee reduction)
Up to 2 Sayers Family Scholarships: £2,000 each (tuition fee reduction)
Awards are applied toward the first year’s tuition fees
You are eligible if you:
Check if you will pay the Overseas fee.
You must not be getting an external scholarship.
This is a competitive scholarship awarded based on:
Academic merit and quality of application
Relevance of the research project to the Parkes Institute's mission (Jewish/non-Jewish relations, Holocaust studies, use of Special Collections)
Motivation for study and alignment with the program
Financial need (considered but not the primary selection factor)
A 500-word personal statement including:
Why you want to study at the Parkes Institute
Your research interests
Any relevant professional experience and future goals
Optional: Description of financial circumstances (with supporting documentation if applicable)
