UCL and the Telles Foundation are pleased to offer talented Brazilian students a scholarship that removes financial barriers and enables access to a world-class education.
You'll receive funding to cover the costs of completing your degree and to help you fully engage with your studies.
For 2026 entry, the scholarship consists of the following funding:
You'll be supported throughout your studies by a dedicated Telles Scholars Tutor – an academic from the Faculty of Engineering.
They will meet with you as a group every term to discuss progress, help resolve problems and offer guidance.

To be considered for the Telles Scholarship and the Undergraduate Preparatory Certificates (UPC) you will need to check that you meet the following entry requirements:

You will need to complete the four stages of the UPC application process:
You must have completed high school in Brazil - usually within two years of the UPC start date - and have achieved the Certificado de Conclusão de Ensino Médio with an overall average of 8/10 with 8/10 in relevant academic subjects.
If you graduated from high school more than two years before the UPC start date and are thinking of applying, please email us first with information on your past studies and details of experience(s) relevant to your future studies, so we can assess your suitability.
The English language requirements for UPC applicants aiming for Computer Science BSc and Mechanical Engineering BEng are either:

You can apply without an English language test result (read more in 'Application and supporting documents' below), but please include it in your application if you have one.
We can provide some financial support in taking one of these tests if you haven't already and you receive an offer for the Telles Scholarship.
