The Birch Family Scholarship supports a postgraduate student of colour with home fee status who has applied for the MA Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA’s School of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing. The scholarship aims to empower diverse voices in poetry and help remove financial barriers to further study.

Requirements

To apply, candidates must:

• Not be in receipt of any other donor-funded scholarships

• Quality and promise of poetic writing

• Demonstrated financial need

• Willingness to participate in scholarship activities:

  • Submit a poem for publication by Ink Sweat & Tears

  • Read at a Writers Event during the academic year
