Offered by the British Academy, the program provides early- and mid-career UK-based researchers in the humanities and social sciences with opportunities to develop their skills and careers through partnerships with organizations in ODA-eligible countries.
This program supports innovative research that addresses global challenges, fostering knowledge exchange and creating impactful connections beyond academia.

Up to £150,000 for 12 months (80% Full Economic Costing)
Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the UK and be early-career and mid-career researchers. Your host institution must be a UK Higher Education Institution (HEI) or Independent Research Organisation (IRO).
Moreover, partner organizations must be based in Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, or countries from the Least Developed Countries list.
To participate, applicants must submit a proposal outlining their research activity and its relevance to the chosen theme. Proposals should demonstrate the potential for innovative solutions and impact on global challenges. Proposals should fit in one of the following themes:
